Last Monday, Chief and I, plus Miguel and his mom, Violet, and plus my own mom watched the latest version of "Death Race 2000" at Cinema 1 of Glorietta 4 Cinema. It is the first movie Chief and I have ever seen with mom.
This 2008 edition didn't have David Carradine, but had Jason Statham.
If one remembers the mid-70s, "Death Race 2000" was set in the year 2000 (or 8 years ago). The US had gone through a crisis and broke up into several facist-like states, with gory entertainment... the death race. David Carradine plays Frankentein the
most celebrated racer. And would you believe Rocky was in this movie. Yup, Sly Stallone played Machine Gun Joe. I really do need to watch this movie again and walk down memory lane.
